Astin Muse — better known as Amuse — has been a military social media creator since 2015 and is widely recognized as one of the original voices in the military content space. A former drill sergeant and recruiter, her sketch comedy and authentic storytelling helped pave the way for the military creators who followed, and contributed to conversations that led the Army toward more formal social media guidance.
A retired U.S. Army veteran, she served 21 years while battling breast cancer during her career; she has been in remission since 2020 and continues her advocacy for service members and veterans. She speaks at the 2026 Military Influencer Conference.
